Sant Kabir Das Jaynti 2021

 Kabir Jayanti, also known as Kabir Prakat Diwas, is celebrated to commemorate the manifestation of Saint Kabir Das Ji, a famous poet and mystic saint in India. It is celebrated once in a year on the full moon day in the Hindu month Jyeshtha, which is the month of May or June according to the Gregorian calendar. It is considered that the holy Poet and Saint Kabir Das came on earth this day in the year 1398 A.D. Kabir prakat diwas was celebrated on 5 June in 2020 and the 2021 date will be 24 June. He was the strongly inspired by his teacher, the Hindu bhakti leader Ramananda. The third Sunday of June is celebrated as Father’s Day in most parts of the world. Father’s Day is a celebration of fathers, honouring fatherhood, paternal bonds and the role fathers play in society. World Refugee Day is an international day organised every year on 20 June by the United Nations. It is designed to celebrate and honour refugees from around the world. The day was first established on 20 June 2001, in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees. A refugee is an individual who leaves their country due to the ramifications of war, conflict persecutions and violence that they have faced within their home country. Through undertaking the process of crossing international borders, some refugees are often found to leave everything behind carrying only the minimal clothing and possessions; with the plan to find safety and haven in a different country. 17th June is celebrated as Rajmata Jijau death anniversary in India. She is as known as Jijabai Shahaji Bhosale, was the mother of famous Maratha emperor Shivaji, founder of Maratha empire. She was the daughter of Lakhujirao Jadhav and Mahalasabai Jadhav. She was born on 12 January 1598 in Maharashtra, India.  Jijabai was married at an early age to Shahaji Bhosle, son of Maloji Bhosle. She taught Shivaji about ‘Swarajya’ and raised him to be a great warrior. She gave birth to eight children, out of which all the six daughters died in infancy, and only two sons – Sambhaji and Shivaji survived. Sambhaji was the elder son, who would accompany his father on various expeditions. Shivaji, being the younger stayed with his mother. Maharana Pratap was born on 9 May 1540 But According to the Hindu calendar, it was Tritiya, Jyeshtha, Shukla Paksha which falls on 13 June 2021 this year. He needs no explanation to define his identity. Maharana Pratap was a renowned Rajput warrior and a king of Mewar, Rajasthan, in north-western India. One of the greatest Rajput warriors, he is recognised for resisting the attempts of the Mughal ruler Akbar to conquer his territory. Unlike the other neighbouring Rajput rulers, Maharana Pratap repeatedly refused to submit to the mighty Mughals and continued fighting courageously till his last breath. A symbol of Rajput gallantry, diligence and valour, he was the only Rajput warrior to take on the might of Akbar, the Mughal Emperor. For all his courage, sacrifice and fiercely independent spirit, he is honoured as a hero in Rajasthan. Over 160 million children all over the world are engaged in Child Labour.The Significance of the World Day Against Child Labour is to pay attention to the problem of child labour and to find ways to eradicate it. The day is used to spread awareness about the harmful mental and physical problems faced by children forced into child labour, all over the world. Children around the world are routinely engaged in paid and unpaid forms of work that are not harmful to them. However, they are classified as child labourers when they are either too young to work, or are involved in hazardous activities that may compromise their physical, mental, social or educational development. In the least developed countries, slightly more than one in four children (ages 5 to 17) are engaged in labour that is considered detrimental to their health and development. Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil’s Jayanti 2021

11 June is observed as Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil’s Jayanti. He was born on 11th June 1897 into a brahmin family at Shahjahanpur in North-Western Provinces, British India.He learned Hindi from his father at home and was sent to learn Urdu from a moulvi. He was admitted to an English-language school, despite his father's disapproval, and also joined the Arya Samaj in Shahjahanpur. Bismil showed a talent for writing patriotic poetry. He was an Indian revolutionary who participated in Mainpuri conspiracy of 1918, and the Kakori conspiracy of 1925, and fought against British imperialism. Bismil was hanged on 19 December 1927 by the British for his revolutionary activities. As well as being a freedom fighter, he was a patriotic poet and wrote in Hindi and Urdu using the pen names Ram, Agyat and Bismil. But, he became popular with the last name "Bismil" only. Access to sufficient amounts of safe food is key to sustaining life and promoting good health. Foodborne illnesses are usually infectious or toxic in nature and often invisible to the plain eye, caused by bacteria, viruses, parasites or chemical substances entering the body through contaminated food or water. Food safety has a critical role in assuring that food stays safe at every stage of the food chain - from production to harvest, processing, storage, distribution, all the way to preparation and consumption. With an estimated 600 million cases of foodborne illnesses annually, unsafe food is a threat to human health and economies, disproportionally affecting vulnerable and marginalized people, especially women and children, populations affected by conflict, and migrants. An estimated 420 000 people around the world die every year after eating contaminated food and children under 5 years of age carry 40% of the foodborne disease burden, with 125 000 deaths every year. World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year to remind people about the importance of nature.In the absence of human activities amid the coronavirus-induced lockdown, nature is getting time to clean itself and reclaim its space.
