The city of Jaipur was supported by the King of Amber, prince Sawai Jai Singh II on eighteen November 1727, UN agency dominated from 1699 to 1743. The day is marked by seminars and awareness campaigns with many farmers and businessmen exchanging ideas about coconut production. This Day was first celebrated in 2009 by the Asia Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) commemorating the creation of APCC. In 2009 the APCC decided to mark September 2 is World Coconut Day to promote awareness about the coconut fruit. Note that the APCC is an inter-governmental organisation of 18 member countries mandated to promote coconut developmental activities of the Asian Pacific regions.
