 National Anti Terrorism Day 2021

Every year 21st May is observed as Anti Terrorism Day in India. As we all know terrorism in india, has always been a wide issue for Indian Government. A report of The Financial Express (Esteemed news paper) shows that India is ranked eighth in worst impacted nation with a score of 7.353 out of 10. While Pakistan was ranked 7th and Afghanistan and Iraq were reported to be the most affected countries out of 163 countries in 2019. India reported almost 500+ terrorist attacks in in 2019 which was the second highest amongst the top ten countries and recorded 277 deaths which was lowest amongst the top ten countries.

The objective behind the observance of this day is to wean away the youth from terrorism and the cult of violence by highlighting the sufferings of common people and showing as to how it is prejudicial to the national interest. And to promote national harmony, unity among the people of all race, creed and gender anti terrorism day is observed every year.
