International day for Biological diversity.

Every year 22nd May is observed as International day for Biological diversity. The reason behind this is to to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues. The United Nations has proclaimed May 22 as International Biodiversity Day. Firstly this was created by the second committee of UN General Assembly in 29 December, 1993 was the date of entry into force of convention of Biological Diversity and was decided to be celebrated as The International Biodiversity Day. Finally in 2000 the UN General Assembly adopted 22 May as International Biodiversity Day by the Nairobi final act. 22nd May is a date in our calendar dedicated to raising global awareness about the importance of protecting biological resources and the global biodiversity that shapes out environment. This is the day to repay to the nature and fulfill our responsibilities by promoting biodiversity issues.
