What makes Author's Day so special?

 Books are indeed our best friends but what make them so special? The writers. On November 1, millions of people celebrate authors and the books they write on National Author’s Day. Books have a mind of their own. They take time to develop, research, draft, edit, revise and rewrite. We devour stories. We indulge in them as we drift off to sleep or travel. And sometimes, we allow them to collect dust on several flat surfaces in our homes. Those stories may take years to reach a publisher and just as long to reach a bookshelf. We may have only one favorite author or many collected works with which we cannot part. Whether we prefer fiction, non-fiction, or a mix of both, authors have been telling stories to fill our heads for thousands of years.  Vinayak Narhari Bhave, popularly known as Acharya Vinoba Bhave was a great freedom fighter, an eminent social reformer, a staunch follower of Gandhian principles and ideals and a great human rights activist. He was born on September 11, 1895 AD at Gogoda in Kolaba district of Maharashtra. His father was Narhari Shambhu Bhave who was a textile engineer in Baroda (now Vadodara). He took keen interest in the works and philosophy of saints and poets of Maharashtra and studied many books at an early age. He also read many books in Sanskrit. These readings largely shaped the philosophical and ideological structure of his mind. Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy and principles immensely inspired him. He met Gandhiji in 1916 and became his disciple. He started living at Gandhiji’s ashram to imbibe his principles and ideals in reality.  A skyscraper is a tall continuously habitable building having multiple floors. Modern sources currently define skyscrapers as being at least 100 metres or 150 metres in height, though there is no universally accepted definition. Skyscrapers are very tall high-rise buildings.  World Skyscrapers Day is celebrated every year on 3rd September to pay contribution to Louis Henry Sullivan. He is considered the father of skyscrapers. To commemorate his birth anniversary World Skyscrapers Day is celebrated every year.  Skyscrapers are such miracles in world. World Coconut Day 2022

 September 2 is celebrated as the day is celebrated to understand the benefits of the fruit along with the raising awareness about how it can be grown and preserved. The day is marked by seminars and awareness campaigns with many farmers and businessmen exchanging ideas about coconut production. This Day was first celebrated in 2009 by the Asia Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) commemorating the creation of APCC. In 2009 the APCC decided to mark September 2 is World Coconut Day to promote awareness about the coconut fruit. Note that the APCC is an inter-governmental organisation of 18 member countries mandated to promote coconut developmental activities of the Asian Pacific regions. Books are our best friends. Seems familier, right? Many of us are book reader and love reading. World Book and Copyright Day is a celebration to promote the enjoyment of books and reading. Each year, on 23 April, celebrations take place all over the world to recognize the scope of books - a link between the past and the future, a bridge between generations and across cultures. People across the globe celebrate the occasion and come together to raise awareness about environmental protection and acknowledge the global climate crisis which is getting worse day by day.
